These wheel sets were originally designed for use on Sierra Valley Enterprises custom built 1:20.3 scale narrow gauge freight cars.
Sierra
Valley Enterprises felt that wheels with a more prototypical appearance, and
lower flange height were needed for Sierra Valley custom built rolling stock and
of course, Hartford Products kits.
Sierra Valley Enterprises has expanded their line to offer these improved scale wheel sets in five
different diameters that cover the three major large scale narrow gauge sizes;
(1:24, 1:22.5, and 1:20.3). These wheel sets are offered in both "O" Gauge, and
Gauge #1. Wheel sets are packaged four (4) axles per bag.
Although these wheel sets were designed specifically for narrow gauge, they have
been used successfully on 1:29 scale, and 1:32 scale standard gauge railroads.
Most standard gauge modelers use either our #2, or #3 size wheel sets.

Features:
1. Flange height has been reduced to improve appearance without sacrificing
performance.
2. Design of the wheel face is based on narrow gauge prototypes.
3. The wheel tread and flange are tapered, and have a fillet between them, as on
the prototype.
4. Heavier metal wheels improve performance over plastic wheels, and lower the
center of gravity of
your cars.
5. All wheel sets are double insulated.
6. These wheel sets are compatible with all commercially available track and
trucks, and have been
tested on Code 172 rail through Code 332 rail extensively.
7. Each wheel set is individually inspected and tested for gauge, and alignment.
8. This product is 100% designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.
